Manhunt underway for ‘armed and dangerous’ James City County suspect

WILLIAMSBURG – James City County police are searching for a 22-year-old man described as “armed and dangerous.”
Tyler Kwan Wallace is wanted on 20 outstanding warrants. He is believed to be living in the Greater Williamsburg area.
Wallace has black hair and brown eyes and is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, according to a news release. Anyone who comes into contact with him is urged to contact police immediately.
“Despite exhaustive efforts to locate him, Wallace remains at large. We urge the public to exercise caution,” police said. “Citizens should not approach or attempt to apprehend Wallace.”
Wallace is wanted for a string of both misdemeanor offenses and violent felony crimes, including abduction, assault and battery against a family member, strangulation and child abuse, which police say occurred between August and December off 2024.
According to court records, he was charged with second-degree attempted murder, using a firearm in the commission of a felony and shooting maliciously into an occupied building in 2023. The incidents took place in James City County.
Police say he may also be connected to other crimes that have taken place across Hampton Roads.

Tipsters may remain anonymous, are not required to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,500 if the details given lead to an arrest.
