WILLIAMSBURG – A Williamsburg restaurant has been named among the most romantic dining establishments in the nation.

Popular national dining website OpenTable included Le Yaca among its list of “Top 100 Romantic Restaurants” for 2026.

Located at 1430 High Street, Le Yaca specializes in upscale French fare, with a focus on 3- and 5-course prix fixe menus. A la carte options are also available for lunch and dinner.

OpenTable, an online restaurant review and reservation platform, unveils the list annually based on over 9 million diner reviews from across the United States. Various other metrics are also weighed to determine the most “swoon-worthy” spots.

Released just in time for Valentine’s Day, this year’s list includes restaurants in 34 states and Puerto Rico.

Among the top 100, seven are in Virginia, though Le Yaca was the only Hampton Roads restaurant to receive the nod. Two are in Richmond, one is in Charlottesville and the others are in Northern Virginia.

Le Yaca opened in Williamsburg in 1980 after first being founded in Courchevel, France. The establishment is also ranked among TripAdvisor’s Top 25 Fine Dining Restaurants in the United States – a significant accomplishment considering the website has more than 5 million restaurant listings.

The Virginia restaurants that made OpenTable’s list of most romantic restaurants include:

2941 Restaurant (Falls Church, VA)
Bistro L’Hermitage (Woodbridge, VA)
Bookbinder’s Seafood and Steakhouse (Richmond, VA)
L’Auberge Chez Francois (Great Falls, VA)
L’Opossum (Richmond, VA)
Le Yaca (Williamsburg, VA)
The Ivy Inn Restaurant (Charlottesville, VA)
