Colonial Tea Ball

Bring your dancing shoes and a revolutionary spirit to keep in step with ballroom dances of the 18th century for a Colonial Tea Ball on November 8, 7-10 p.m. at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown.

The Itinerant Band plays traditional Colonial instruments while in period costumes. Dances will be led by John Millar, dance master, author and historian, with music will be performed by the Itinerant Band. From “Draper’s Garden” to “The Queen’s Jig,” Millar will lead guests in more than a dozen dances throughout the evening event.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in 18th-century clothing or otherwise dress up for the occasion.

Non-alcoholic beverages and a souvenir booklet with dancing instructions are included.
