Power Generation Rises By 1,304MW
he nation’s power generation has increased to 3,876.9 megawatts following the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s (NNPC) fixing of a ruptured pipeline.
Recall that the pipeline which supplies gas to most thermal electricity generating plants in the country had on Friday ruptured.
According to the Transmission Company of Nigeria in a report on Tuesday, the nation’s power generation jumped from from the 2,572.6MW recorded on Sunday to 3,876.9MW on Monday.
In addition, the TCN noted that there was an improvement in gas supply to the power generating plants after the restoration of the ruptured pipeline.
The TCN, said that in a day or two, it was expected that gas and power supply would be back to normal which lead to improved power in the country.
