Pinnick Reacts To Re-election As NFF President
The President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick has said he would reconcile people who lost at the 2018 NFF Elective Congress.
The Triangle News reported that Pinnick was re-elected on Thursday in Katsina.
Pinnick noted that there was neither winner nor vanquished in the election as all must work together for the benefit of football in the country.
This is as he lauded those who contributed to the success of the exercise.
Pinnick becomes the first head of the football house to be re-elected.
He emerged winner of the poll with 34 votes, defeating his predecessor, Aminu Maigari (8 votes), Taiwo Ogunjobi ( 2 votes) and Chinedu Okoye (0 votes) to retain his position.
The Triangle News understands that a total of 37 state FA Chairmen were present at the elections, alongside the Referees Association President, the Players Union President, the Coaches Association Chairman, the NPFL Chairman, the NNL Chairman, the NWFL Chairperson, and the NLO Chairman.
Those present made up the 44 delegates that constituted the electorates in the elections which took place in Katsina, northwest Nigeria, on Thursday.
