Customs Busts Truck Load Of Military Uniforms In Imo
Operatives of the Nigeria Customs Services have intercepted a truck carrying military wears in Owerri, the Imo state capital, an official of the agency has said.
Concise News learned that the interception was carried out by operatives tied to the Federal Operations Unit (Zone C).
Controller FOU, Kayode Olusemire, told newsmen that the uniforms were concealed in a truck loaded with household wares around the Onitsha Head Bridge in, Anambra state.
He also said that cartons of pharmaceutical drugs containing cough syrups with codeine, diazepam, tramadol injection and tablets recently banned by the Federal Government were also confiscated.
The customs official explained that the seizure was made possible after intelligence reports.
He also said that the two suspects arrested in connection with the truck were already helping the agency with valid information.
